OUR TYPES OF ARMORING
Each type of armoring has key development stages.
WE OFFER ARMORING WITH INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS
What is the purpose of international ballistic standards and what variables are taken into account to classify the resistance of ballistic materials by levels?
International ballistic standards are created to establish specific rules in tests and trials that classify the resistance of ballistic materials into different levels.
For this, variables such as the type of weapon, caliber, type of ammunition, weight, firing distance, bullet velocity, number of shots, and distance between them are considered.
The critical caliber of each material is also taken into account, which is the projectile that, due to its speed, energy, and type, penetrates further into the test sample within the assigned protection level. Each ballistic standard requires a specific size of samples or test specimens and has a defined impact pattern, which refers to the number of impacts and the distance between them.

NIJ Standard - 0108.01 Ballistic Resistant Protective Materials
Our service complies with the strict ballistic standards of NIJ-0108.01 in the United States, which include levels IIA, II, IIIA, III, and IV. Similar to the European standard, this classification uses Roman numerals and has a specific critical caliber for each level.
European Ballistic Standards
At AP ARMOR, we comply with the strict ballistic certification standards of the European Union. These standards, established by the European Committee for Standardization as EN 1063/1522/1523, define seven levels of protection (BR1 to BR7 or B1 to B7) for civilian armored vehicles.
